Parent Portal Social Schools
We use Social Schools, an online communication platform for primary education. The goal is to give parents insight into classroom activities in a simple, visually appealing, and informative manner. We believe it's important for you to stay informed about what your child is working on, as not all children share everything they do at school. This way, you can better support your child(ren) in their learning process.
How does it work?
The teacher posts messages in the class, such as announcements about sports days, excursions, or information about the teaching methods being used. As a parent, you can view this information by logging in via the mobile app or the web environment. You can also directly add agenda items to your phone calendar through the app, receiving timely reminders and never missing events. Closed Environment
Social Schools is a secure, closed platform. Only parents authorized by the school have access to the environment. Parents only have access to their children's groups.
Message Translation
With translations, you can automatically translate the content of conversations and group messages into a language of your choice.
To activate translations, follow these steps:
1. Open the (web) app.
2. Click on your profile picture in the top bar of the homepage.
3. Select "Account & Profile".
4. Click on the "Account" tab.
5. Click on "Translate messages > do not translate".
6. Choose your preferred language and save.
When you open the app now, group messages on your homepage will be translated into your chosen language. For conversations, you can click on the translate button next to a speech bubble.
Available Languages and Translated Content
Currently, conversations and group messages are translated into the following languages:
- Arabic
- German
- English
- French
- Ukrainian
- Polish
- Spanish
- Turkish
